Prince Radu visits Oxford

HRH Prince Radu of Romania undertook a two-day visit to the Oxford University in England. His Royal Highness opened the International Conference „Intercultural Humanism”, organized by the Berendel Foundation in London.
In the inaugural meeting, Prince Radu evoked the personality of Prince Dimitrie Cantemir and his inspired leadership. Stephen Lemny, historian, received the First Cantemir Prize of the Berendel Foundation from His Royal Highness. Prince Radu also attended the first two panels of the conference and had lunch with the participants in the Christ Church Hall.
From the 9th to the 11th September 2010, the International Conference „Intercultural Humanism – Challenges, Experiences, Visions, Strategies” is hosted by Christ Church and is divided into seven sessions. The event brings together reputed scholars from Asia, America and Europe, such as Roger Griffin, Mikhail Epstein, Alex Goody, Erhard Reckwitz, Armin Heinen, Robert Evans, Stefan Jordan, Jörn Rüsen, Hardy Schloer, Kirill Thompson, Zhang Longxi, Chen Chao-ying, Ming Xie, Chintamani Yogi, Zhang Xinhua, Umesh Chattopadhayaya, M. Satish Kumar, Michael Onyebuchi Eze, Virgil Nemoianu and Mihai Spariosu.
