(AGERPRES) Custodele Coroanei Române, Majestatea Sa Margareta, a declarat, joi, la Arad, că are amintiri frumoase legate de Prinţul Philip al Marii Britanii, menţionând că acesta a fost un model pentru ea în ceea ce priveşte implicarea în activităţi caritabile sau sociale, cum ar fi cea de la Crucea Roşie Română.

“El şi cu bunica mea au fost rude. M-au inspirat şi pentru acest tip de muncă, de la Crucea Roşie. A fost un mentor frumos. Am amintiri frumoase, din copilărie şi de când am fost puţin mai tânără. (…) Am amintiri foarte frumoase toată viaţa”, a spus Majestatea Sa.

La rândul său, Principele Radu a arătat că activitatea socială şi caritabilă a Familiei Regale este inspirată de către Regina Elisabeta a II-a şi de Prinţul Philip.

“Amândoi sunt campioni: Ducele a acordat 900 de patronaje regale, iar Regina, peste 600. Când ei au început această activitate, nici nu se prea ştia aşa ceva în lume. Principele și-a dedicat toată viaţa celor din societate cu mai puţine posibilităţi, oameni fie în vârstă, fie copii, fie săraci sau elevi care nu aveau mijloace. Amândoi sunt o sursă foarte mare de inspiraţie. Regina și Ducele au dat mult din viaţă pentru chestiuni legate de oameni mai puţin norocoşi decât ei”, a afirmat Principele Radu.

The Prince dedicated his whole life to those in society with fewer possibilities, to people, whether elderly or children, or poor, or students who did not have the means to continue. Both are a great source of inspiration. The Queen and the Duke dedicated a lot of their life to issues related to people less fortunate than them”, said Prince Radu.
