Tuesday, 9th of November 2010, at Elisabeta Palace , in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Princess and Prince Radu of Romania took place the first celebration of the Royal  Medal: King Michael I for Loyalty.

Established in 2008 , the medal is granted to personalities within the Royal Household or outside the Royal Household, that proved loyalty to The King and the Royal Family, to the principles and values of the Romanian modern state.

There are 99 people, organizations or institutions that received this Royal Medal.  They are Romanians and foreigners, living everywhere in Romania, in Europe and even in the United States of America. The maximum number of people that can be granted this Royal Medal is 150.

On the same day HRH Prince Radu attended the exhibition organized by The National Council for the Study of the State Archives which aimed at presenting the connection between the anti-communist demonstration of the monarchist students against Groza government and the rebellion of the workers from Brasov (15th November 1945).

The exhibition is the result of a long period of documentation of the researchers Oana and Mihai Demetriade.
