King Michael met King Juan Carlos I of Spain

Their Majesties King Michael I and Queen Anne, accompanied by TRH Crown Princess Margarita and Prince Radu undertook a 3-day visit to Madrid, from the 3rd to the 6th of April 2010.

The Royal Family attended the Orthodox Easter Mass in Plaza de Colon in Madrid, together with a large part of the Romanian Community in Madrid and in Spain. Currently, about a million Romanian citizens live and work in Spain.

Their Majesties King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia received their Majesties and Their Royal Highnesses at the Zarzuela Palace. Their Royal Highnesses The Prince and Princess of Asturias also attended.

King Michael I and Prince Radu visited the Higher Centre of National Security Studies in Madrid and were received by the director and deans.

The Royal Family met with representatives of the Romanian community and associations and took part in a Reception offered in the King’s honour by the Romanian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain. The Royal Family had lunch with the Romanian Orthodox Bishop in Spain and Portugal.
